Band Win at Weymouth

If you would like to learn an instrument and read music, then the junior / training band is the ideal place.  From complete beginners, to more experienced players wanting to enhance their skills. Monday and Wednesday sessions offer a fun and relax environment to learn.

Tutored by Jackie Adams, the Training band is as big as the Senior band, and taking on their own jobs such as fetes, and contests.

Jackie takes complete beginners on Monday evenings, and the Junior band for more experienced players on a Wednesday evening. Gillingham Band won 1st place in their section at the Wessex Contest held in Weymouth again this year.  Under the musical direction of Paul Williams, they performed the Edward Gregson piece 'Occasion'.  This is the second year in a row the band has won the section they were competing in.
